The Sunday E.D.I.T. | No. 12
This week was a doozy with hurricane Milton hitting the west coast of Florida and its effects being felt here too (near Jupiter, FL) with several tornadoes touching down in nearby developments — thankfully we’re okay and the only casualty was three days of lost work with Leena being home from school.
But you know what? It was actually lovely.
To just be home with my family and willingly deciding to not stress about the lack of work productivity — instead, embracing that my purpose this week was being in 100% mom-mode.
This is something I’ve been trying to be better about in general. Compartmentalizing my time, not trying to multi-task a hundred different things, and simply being present in the present moment.
As women, we try to do it all. But what this actually means is that we show up less to the very things we care about most — family, friends, our business, and… most importantly ourselves.
