green tea & potato chips, connecting to your purpose, and the nutrition lesson I had to teach myself this week
The Sunday E.D.I.T. | No. 7
We’re doing it!
I love the first week of September, but man, it’s also a rough one.
Shifting schedules from summer to school, all the emotions, work picking up again, after school activities, gearing up for the holidays (they’re coming!), planning a mermaid birthday party — and everything else that gets thrown into the mix.
But even in the chaos, I find this time of year to be one of my most productive and purposeful. Studies show this is true for most of us — a time when we’re ready to recommit and make changes.
So this week, I’ve got a few things to help you do just that —
✨ Elevate: Back to school means more than sending your littles ones on their way, it’s also a great time to dive deep & reconnect with your purpose. Download this free tool to support you.
✅ (It’s all in the ) Details: Sharing the nitty gritty details about my new program Effortless Nutrition — i.e. all the logistics that I know you need to know.
🍵 Into Lately: The mid-morning beverage I’ve switched to + the potato chips we’re obsessed with that I don’t mind letting Leena eat daily.
✏️ Teaching Moment: Why I needed to take my own nutrition advice the other day…
You know the reasons you follow me? Enroll in my programs? Make my recipes? All the reasons you’re here, reading this right now?
Sure, I know my stuff about nutrition, but that’s only a small fraction of why — because there are a lot of other nutritionists out here who know their stuff too.
The real reason is because you like my vibe, my brand, my authenticity, my realness.
It’s something I pride myself on, but it’s also taken a long time to get to this place — to where I fully trust my voice, my mission, my purpose, and my passion. And most importantly, know how to authentically & confidently share it with you.
None of this would have been possible without the help of my friend and mentor Blair Badenhop — she’s a whiz in all things branding and the most brilliant copywriter. But she’s also the person who helps you dig deep and ask the hard questions — to discover your “thing” and turn it into your purpose.
As a gift to you, she’s sharing this free (!) set of guided visualizations and journaling prompts designed to help you clarify the vision you already hold for your purpose.

It’s something I revisit every year and had to share with you too.
I’m being honest with you. Program launches are not my favorite thing — but, I’m also so excited by this new offering that I’m digging deep and channeling all the hype vibes because I want you to join this already amazing group of women.
(Shout out to Tiffany, Cinder, Kristie, Amy, Maddy, and Joanie!)
The biggest obstacle I’ve heard so far?
“While I really want to be part of your program, I’m not sure how it’s going to fit into my busy schedule with work and the kids. I don’t want to overcommit myself and then feel like I’ve failed at my nutrition yet again.”
Can I tell you something though? I’ve built this program with that in mind. Because I’m a busy working mom too!
Effortless Nutrition teaches you how to nourish your body with the right foods,
revitalize your metabolism, balance your hormones for increased energy,
and eliminate cravings for a fully optimized, thriving body.
The nitty gritty details —
We kickoff September 23rd for 8 weeks.
There are 6 modules with short 7-10 minute videos for each lesson so you can easily watch or listen to them podcast style in the car or on a walk.
We cover the basics of nutrition, dive into blood sugar balance & metabolic flexibility, explore hunger cues & a more intuitive eating approach, and go beyond nutrition with a module on stress, detox, gut health. There are also bonus workshops on meal prep, food sourcing, and supplements.
While we have live weekly group coaching calls, they’ll be recorded so you can listen to them whenever you have the time.
Weekly calls will be Tuesdays or Wednesdays - time TBD. I’ll send out a survey before we start to ensure as many people as possible can join.
You can submit your questions in advance if you can’t make it live, and you can also submit questions anonymously if you don’t want to be called out.
There’s a community chat to ask questions and connect with each other that I monitor personally and will post in too.
A VIP upgrade option! You get 2x 30 minute 1:1 calls with me during the program and 12 weeks of private messaging access (i.e. me at your finger tips) — which takes you through the entire holiday season.
Payment plans! You can pay in full or for as little as $147 monthly. I didn’t want budget to get in the way of you reaching your goals this year.
LIFETIME ACCESS. So even if life does get in the way, you can revisit the modules anytime you’d like. (This means you’re also privy to any updates and additions I make to the course over time.)
100% refund if you feel it’s not the right fit for you after 3 weeks.
I hope this was helpful! I know details can get lost in sales pages and we’re often skimming things between drop off, emails, and getting everyone fed.

It would be my honor to support you.
I usually have a green tea around 10am, but lately I’ve been into having a matcha instead. But not a latte, just straight matcha. These Pique Sun Goddess Matcha packets are my current favorite — super smooth so you don’t miss the milk, though feel free to add as long as it’s not oat milk! For a limited time, they’re offering 15% off your first order and a free starter kit with whisk too.
We’ve also been eating a lot of these potato chips — which you’re probably thinking WTF, Erin? But when you know the potatoes are grown in organic, bioregenerative soil and fried in small batches in beef tallow so you avoid seed oils completely, they can be an (almost) daily occurrence.
For the past week, I’ve been leaning into the peanut butter jar more than usual. As well as the mini muffin freezer stash I keep for Leena. And while it was fine for a few days, I realized it was becoming a habit and there were likely some nutritional gaps I was missing earlier in the day causing the post bedtime cravings.
So I did a bit of reflection and realized I wasn’t hitting my daily protein goals. I don’t count gram for gram, but I know approximately what I need to eat to hit 120 grams daily. I was barely making it to 90 grams — my body didn’t want peanut butter and banana muffins, it wanted more protein.
So I’ve been making a consistent effort over the past few days to eat more protein (even nutritionists aren’t perfect!) and I’ve already noticed a big difference in my satiety and hunger cues.
This is something I talked more about in Thursday’s post and what we cover in one module of Effortless Nutrition —
There you have it for your Sunday E.D.I.T.! I hope there were some nuggets to inspire your week ahead.
As always, I’d love to hear your opinions, thoughts, musings, and more in the comments. I’m curious what you have to say about these topics too.
And a reminder that this post is public, so please feel free to share it!
