my carb strategy, perfectly cooked broccoli in 90 seconds, and the $950 jelly shoes I've been coveting (but haven't bought)
The Sunday E.D.I.T. | No. 8
This is getting to you a little later than usual today — I’ll blame mom life and all the prep getting ready for Effortless Nutrition (which starts next week!)
Lately, I’ve gotten lots of lovely notes about this series and being on Substack in general — and I just want to say thank you. I love writing and sending these to you.
It’s the last full week to join my new program and I’m sharing a bit more about it below. As well as the most amazing microwave cookware (I know, but trust me) and a pair of jelly shoe dupes I got off Amazon that bring me so much joy.
✅ Ease: “You make being healthy look so easy” — and yes, I do! But it’s taken a lot of effort on my part to get to this place. Sharing a bit about that here.
🤗 Delight: Did you ever think microwave cookware could be a daily delight in how you prep food? Neither did I until I found this set that cooks broccoli in 90 seconds.
👀 Inside Look: I’m giving away the goods on how I approach carbs personally, with my 1:1 clients, and inside Effortless Nutrition. Grab the slides below.
💗 Trending: I am not one of those girls who buys designer dupes on Amazon or really any fast fashion at all — preferring the timeless, fewer, better mentality. Except when it came to these shoes.
Okay, I’ll admit it —
The name for my new program and course "Effortless Nutrition" might sound a bit misleading at first. After all, anything worthwhile in life requires some effort, right?
And that's precisely the point.
This program does require effort — at the beginning.
It's about investing time and energy upfront to learn the fundamentals, understand your body's unique needs, and develop sustainable habits to carry you through each stage of womanhood.
But here's the magic: the more you practice, the more effortless it becomes.
You'll gain confidence in your choices, tune into your body's wisdom, and create a nourishing lifestyle that feels natural and enjoyable.
Think of it like learning to ride a bike (which isn’t the best example, because I actually don’t know how) — it takes practice and a few wobbles at first, but eventually, it becomes second nature. So, yes, there's initial effort involved, but the reward is a lifetime of effortless nourishment and vibrant health.
The good news though? I’ve synthesized 10+ years of putting in the effort myself (personally and practically with clients), so you only have to spend a fraction of that.
HERE’S MY PROMISE TO YOU: IF YOU FOLLOW THE FRAMEWORK, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS.
This includes:
Stabilizing your weight at a healthy, happy point.
Diminished cravings and increased energy.
Enjoying deep, restorative sleep.
Experiencing smoother menstrual cycles and perimenopause transitions.
Relishing in food freedom during holidays and social gatherings.
Enhancing your food intuition, understanding your body’s true needs.
Improving vital health markers and lab results.
Experiencing improved digestion, clearer thinking, and that inner glow.
So yes, it’ll require some effort on your part — to watch the modules, to show up in the community chat, and to attend the live coaching calls or listen to the replay — but how long is 8 weeks really? It’s going to pass regardless.
Join us here.
I know getting dinner on the table is a feat for most of us (myself included).
So I bought this Anyday cookware set on sale over Labor Day because part of my job is testing out ways to make cooking easier and more efficient. A justifiable expense.
The promise of fresh broccoli cooked to perfection in 90 seconds sold me — and it actually works! So far, I’ve also cooked cauliflower, green beans, sweet potato, quinoa, pasta, and reheated leftovers — everything turned out great and cooked in a fraction of the normal time. I just can’t bring myself to cook salmon in it though, so if you try, please let me know how it went.
I’ve gotten a few questions about exactly what you get to learn in Effortless Nutrition, so I’ve decided to share a few slides from Module 2: Nutritional Foundations.
Get excited!
I think we all know we need to eat more protein (and I talk about the nuances a lot in this program) — but, the other macronutrient that confuses us (maybe even more) is carbs. Am I right?!
Here’s a peak at the carb strategy slides I created for this program:
We of course dive deeper into this — as well as building an optimal plate, how to use fat as a lever with carbs, and the power of micronutrients too.
This is the last week to enroll before we officially kickoff next Sunday 9/22.
❣️PSA — I won’t be running this program live again for at least 6 months (either this spring or next fall), so if you you’re thinking, “oh I’ll just wait until the next launch”, it’s going to be a while.

I’d love to support you in not only honing your nutrition, but cultivating a better, more nourishing relationship with food and your body.
Because that’s where the real magic is 💫
I’ve talked about this before — I’m the kind of girl who likes to buy fewer, better things and would rather spend more $$ on a designer bag or Jenni Kayne sweater than trendier, lower quality pieces.
But, then I became obsessed with The Row Mara (jelly) flats and in no way could justify the cost. So I did a little stalking and saw one of my favorite fashion bloggers tag an Amazon pair that’s exactly the same.
Guys, they bring me so much joy. Leena loves them too, so much so that we went to the mall so she could get her own jelly sandals to match 🥰
There you have it for your Sunday E.D.I.T.! I hope there were some nuggets to inspire your week ahead.
As always, I’d love to hear your opinions, thoughts, musings, and more in the comments. I’m curious what you have to say about these topics too.
And a reminder that this post is public, so please feel free to share it!
